On Friday, February 24, 2016, the Metropolitan AME Church School will hold its Black History Month Celebration. The Theme of the Celebration is the 2017 theme set by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History: “The Crisis in Black Education”. We are pleased that the University of the District of Columbia Chorale, conducted by Professor Richard Odom will be performing. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm in Douglass Hall, and the program will begin at 7:15 pm in the sanctuary. Park at the PMI Garage, 1615 M Street, NW and bring your ticket to the church to validate for free parking. The program is open to the public.
