This really is an age old question. Some people say juicing is healthier for you, while others feel a smoothie is the better choice. The key is to INCREASE your fruit and veggie intake by any means necessary. But here are a few reasons why I like smoothies better:
–The pulp and fiber is left behind in a juicer, and that’s the most important part
— Adding protein, probiotics or enzymes to your smoothie adds an extra boost of energy and or calcium (depending on what you add)
–Smoothies can be more easily digestible
So if you choose to try a smoothie every day, make sure not to add high calorie sweets like ice cream or sorbet, (because that becomes a “milkshake”)
The best decision is eating WHOLE foods, but this is a great substitute when time is short.
