Are you interested in purchasing tickets for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Prayer Breakfast on  Saturday, September 24, 2011? See Thedford Collins or Elsie Scott at church on Sunday. Dr. Frederick Haynes from Friendship West Baptist in Dallas will be the speaker.

For the safety of our congregation and visitors, we feel that an eleven o’clock (11:00) worship hour on this Sunday, August 28, 2011 will be more weather conducive. According to most reports it appears that the storm will have passed by then. Please forward this change in the worship hour to other members, friends and possible visitors.

We are thanking God that the earthquake came after we had repaired the steeple and replaced the ceiling. So far, there is no reported structural damage to our church building.

Mrs. Hattie Tolbert celebrated her 90th birthday with her daughters including Dr. Lorraine Gillian. Mrs. Tolbert’s birthday was Thursday, August 18
