Praise the lord and this church and congregation. I know this will be a long campaign to stabilize this hugely important icon of African American Methodism, freedom and prosperity, but with God’s beneficent spirit it will be done! Keep up the good work, the ceiling looks great! Hope to be there for Sunday service on October 24th..Visiting from Long Island, New York, where I am researching the history of Huntington’s 1843 AME church, also on the National Register of Historic Places, and in a local historic district.
