Macy's Shop for a CauseThe Sisters of the Covenant (SOC) of the Metropolitan AME Church invite you to shop, save and support our major fundraiser of the Year–”Macy’s Shop for Cause”–a one-day-only shopping experience on Saturday October 16,2010. The major department store chain created this unique shopping event to support local non-profit charitable organizations.

Here’s how it works. Macy’s has provided shopping passes to Sisters of the Covenant which SOC will make available for a $5 donation. These passes provide the shopper with a day of spectacular discounts, entertainment, and a chance to win a $500 shopping spree. Exclusive discounts include 10% to 20% off most regular, sale, and clearance purchases all day plus 25% off one regular, sale or clearance item in the women’s, men’s or kids apparel and/or accessories. SOC will collect the $5 donation for each shopping pass and retain 100% of the donations collected.

Many charitable organizations are participating in this one day event that will occur wherever Macy stores are located. The pass can be used at your favorite Macy’s.Please give the Sisters of the Covenant your support early to help us become one of the top collectors and win special awards. Here is your opportunity to help family and friends shop, save and support the various church ministries provided through SOC. Please see any SOC member or stop by our table after service to donate $5 for each pass you pick up.

Please make checks payable to Metropolitan AME and put SOC in the subject line. Cash is also welcome.
